Geminare’s Resiliency Management Platform scores finalist position within the SVC Awards for Cloud Management Product of the Year

PALO ALTO, CA, Oct 5th, 2017 – Geminare, a leader in Orchestration and Automation of IT Resilience, Machine Learning, and Hybrid Cloud Solutions announced today that its Resiliency Management Platform (RMP) has been named a finalist in SVC’s prestigious Cloud Technology Awards for Cloud Management Product of the Year.

The Storage, Virtualisation, Cloud (SVC) Awards reward products and services, and honor companies and teams operating in the cloud, virtualization and storage sectors.

Geminare’s RMP, a finalist for the award, is considered one of the most mature orchestration and automation platforms leveraged by leading Service Providers delivering multi-vendor, technology-neutral solutions to enterprise customers worldwide. Through its patented solution orchestration capability, the RMP allows the broadest range of hybrid technologies from legacy to cloud to be simultaneously leveraged and orchestrated. Delivering solutions in Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Security Posturing and more, the RMP enables Service Providers to quickly and effectively deliver sophisticated data analytics as a service to enterprise customers.

“Machine Learning and AI opens up substantial new business opportunities for service providers at a time when concerns around existing revenue streams is top of mind,” stated Joshua Geist, Geminare’s CEO. “Leveraging AI and ML capabilities enables service providers to become key conduits for their enterprise customers as they turn to value added services, especially within the data analytics field, which is why continued recognition for the capabilities of the RMP is so timely.”

The importance of AI and ML within the enterprise market was directly highlighted this week at Gartners’ CIO Summit in Orlando, FL. where Gartner published their Top Strategic Technology Trends for 2018 and listed as the No. 1 trend: “The ability to use AI to enhance decision making, reinvent business models and ecosystems, and remake the customer experience will drive the payoff for digital initiatives through 2025.”

The RMP was recognized by the SVC Awards for its exceptional managed solution capability that brings together a sophisticated base of feature-rich process automation with complex machine learning orchestration. The RMP’s existing Solution Gallery covers use cases from a broad range of areas including: big data analytics, classification, machine learning, policy automation, security posturing, predictive analysis, and a host of compliance requirements including HIPAA, PCI, and GDPR. This broad array of applications is a key differentiator in this industry award recognition.

“The SVC Awards’ finalists represent today’s most innovative technologies and technology deployments, demonstrating highly impressive real-world IT and business results, as well as fast time-to-value and ROI,” said Jason Holloway, Director of IT Publishing at Angel Business Communications, organizers of the SVC Awards. “We congratulate all of the finalists on this important accomplishment.”

MarketsAndMarkets: Vendor Comparison in Disaster Recovery as a Service 2017: MnM DIVE Matrix

In any business, data is one of the vital elements to run the daily operations. It has become essential for enterprises, especially IT firms, to store and protect data for business continuity. In today’s data-driven world, voluminous data being generated at a rapid pace is one of the biggest challenges for all businesses. They are witnessing a surge in the amount and type of data they are responsible for, such as business applications, compliance records, and email archiving. Enterprises focus on Disaster Recovery (DR) planning, which involves policies, processes, and procedures. These are related to being ready-to-recover and ensure business continuity, in regards to technological infrastructure of the organization in the unfortunate event of a disaster, whether manmade or natural. Traditionally, enterprises used tapes for data storage and backup at off-premise data centers. However, cloud-based DR services offer numerous advantages over the traditional backup & disaster recovery methods and are being adopted especially by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

MarketsandMarkets defines Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) as the protection and replication of a company’s data on physical or virtual servers, to ensure business continuity in the event of manmade or natural disasters. DRaaS combines various service capabilities, such as cloud-to-cloud recovery, flexible deployment, cloud replication, and mobile backup.

DRaaS includes monitoring of data backup, recovery processes, and alerting the user in case of disaster, to protect business-critical data. The key functionalities covered by DRaaS include replication, backup & recovery, enterprise data archiving, and data isolation & security. It is extremely useful for the SMEs & large enterprises that lack the expertise and are unaware of the benefits of cloud-based DR.

The report on Vendor Comparison in DRaaS based on MnM DIVE Methodology analyzes and evaluates the key vendors in the DRaaS market.
