In this report, Gartner assesses the emerging IT resilience orchestration automation software market, as well as representative vendors with commercially available solutions. IT product and service leaders should use this research to identify potential partners and/or acquisition candidates.
- IT resilience orchestration (ITRO) automation software products, originally built to automate disaster recovery (DR) run books, have evolved to support application resilience, workload mobility and workload onboarding between production data centers and public clouds.
- Gartner estimates that total spending on ITRO automation solutions is between $130 million and $150 million in 2016 and that it will likely double in 2017.
- A growing number of ITRO automation software vendors are beginning to incorporate support for cybersecurity threat mitigation.
Strategic Planning Assumption
