LexisNexis Canada Partners with Geminare to Deliver Managed Cloud Services

Geminare’s Recovery as a Service Portfolio Gains Significant Traction

with the Launch of LexisNexis Canada’s Managed Technology Services

TORONTO, November 15, 2010 – Geminare Incorporated, today announced an agreement with LexisNexis Canada, the leading provider of information and services solutions to law firms and corporate, government and academic professionals. With today’s launch, LexisNexis Canada has dramatically expanded its portfolio of practice management solutions by offering Managed Technology Solutions, powered by Geminare. With the integration of Geminare’s award-winning Cloud Recovery technology, LexisNexis customers can easily and economically protect their critical business applications and data. With this agreement, Geminare continues to establish partnerships with many of the largest hosting, service providers and cloud vendors worldwide, all of which have embraced the opportunity to offer their customers cost-effective, cloud-based storage, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.

Geminare already counts industry leaders such as Qwest Communications, CA Technologies, Bell Canada, Ingram Micro, Long View and Hosting.com as part of its “Powered by Geminare” partner roster. By focusing on building relationships with unique industry providers such as these and LexisNexis, tens of thousands of customers are now seeing the benefits of real-time data replication and automated failover and failback, within both private and public cloud environments.

“As businesses of all sizes look for more efficient, reliable and cost-effective ways of implementing data protection plans, firms such as LexisNexis are emerging as leaders in the Recovery as a Service space by adopting and integrating proven technology and making it widely available to existing and future customers,” said Joshua Geist, CEO of Geminare. “Our own growth strategy is to partner with strong market leaders such as LexisNexis, who understand the importance of offering a comprehensive and diverse portfolio of services to their customers, and to help them be successful in rapidly deploying reliable and comprehensive cloud-based solutions–a practice that has clearly caught the industry’s attention.”

IDC Canada Senior Analyst, Krista Napier, in a recent IDC Technology Assessment of Geminare concluded that “Geminare offers enterprise-class, cloud-based business continuity services to the SME space, and it does so in a cost-effective, technologically impressive manner that provides real opportunity for a broad and diverse channel looking to leverage Cloud Compute and Storage into their product portfolio.” – IDC Technology Assessment, Geminare Incorporated: Delivering Cloud-Based Disaster Recovery and Server Replication for SMEs, Krista Napier, October 2010.
