DRaaS solutions from and to private, public, and hybrid Helion OpenStack clouds.

— Geminare furthered its commitment to the OpenStack initiative and Global HP Helion Service Provider ecosystem today by announcing its DRaaS for HP Helion OpenStack
solution. This Helion Ready certified service is accessible to HP Helion Service Providers (SPs) through the HP Helion Ready Solution Catalog.
Cloud Recovery’s Helion Ready certification means that HP’s global ecosystem of Helion SPs have immediate access to Geminare’s award-winning, multi-patented Disaster Recovery as a Service Cloud Management Platform (DRaaS CMP)—the foundation of the Cloud Recovery offering and one of the industry’s most mature platforms for the delivery of DRaaS solutions.
Through this certification, Geminare’s DRaaS CMP, embedded with a comprehensive set of technologies, delivers a best of breed, host-based server replication solution that runs on private, public, hybrid, and OpenStack environments. Initial HP and Geminare deployment models include:
1. Service Providers can host Geminare’s Cloud Recovery solution and bundle it with professional services to create their differentiated DRaaS offer.
2. HP customers can leverage Helion OpenStack deployments at their Service Provider of choice or span their protection footprint by replicating servers from one Helion OpenStack cloud environment to another geographically, independently of the Service Provider.
3. Geminare’s DRaaS integrations with Public Clouds such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, and others offer customers the ultimate hybrid deployment model when looking to the Cloud to modernize their DR programs and access low cost data storage.
“As DRaaS becomes mainstream, and OpenStack proves itself as a solid hybrid deployment model, Service Providers are a key avenue for customer engagements and HP represent a substantial, globally deployed Service Provider ecosystem,” said Joshua Geist, President and CEO of Geminare. “Hybrid DRaaS deployments enable service providers to show their strengths in areas such as managed services and value added solutions. Combining the broad deployment capabilities of Geminare’s DRaaS Cloud Management Platform with this Service Provider community creates an ideal direction for growth in the Cloud.”
“As part of the HP Helion Ready Program, Geminare and HP will have a unique opportunity to ensure that Geminare’s tested and certified technology with HP Helion OpenStack are brought to HP’s community of service providers,” said Steven Dietch, Vice President, Cloud Go-to-Market, HP, adding, “This will allow customers to work with Service Providers to deploy on HP Helion OpenStack seamlessly and reinforces HP’s commitment to this growing ecosystem.”
