Duncan McEwan

With a background in technology, communications and M&A, Duncan McEwan is an investor and advisor with several emerging technology companies. He currently serves on the Board of Geminare Inc., an emerging global leader in the Recovery as a Service space, and is Chairman of Kneebone Inc., a software company specializing in marketing performance measurement and ROI analysis.
Previous roles include President and Chief Operating Officer of Sprint Canada Inc., an integrated, national telecommunications provider; Chief Executive Officer of Northpoint Canada Communications, a provider of high-speed data and Internet (DSL) lines; President and Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Satellite Communications (Cancom); Founder and Chairman of the Business News Network (BNN, formerly ROBTv) and Executive Producer in the television industry.
Mr. McEwan is president of Diligent Inc., his consulting company specializing in M&A and strategic advice for technology-based clients. He is Vice-Chair of the Board of The Royal Conservatory of Music and has previously served on a number of public and private company boards.
Mr. McEwan is a graduate of the University of Toronto.
Steve Moskowski
Advisory Board
Steve Moskowski has earned a solid reputation as a collaborative and highly driven executive specializing in identifying and developing new and sustainable revenue sources while leading and motivating teams to attain targeted results. Since graduating from the Schulich School of Business, in 1994, with an MBA in Marketing and Finance, he has served as a direct sales representative at Xerox and Comdisco, Inc. and most recently as VP of Sales and SunGard Availability Services.
In addition to acting as an Advisor to Geminare, Steve is currently Managing Director at CAI Canada, a global Application Managed Services provider and is a Principle at LinkTiger Inc., whose SaaS solution is used by e-commerce professionals around the world.
Steve currently resides in Toronto with his wife and three children, and completed his first marathon in September 2010.
Miriam Tuerk
Advisory Board
Miriam Tuerk is a Strategic Advisor to Geminare, is currently serving on the board of directors of Enomaly, a global leader in the fast-growing Cloud Computing space, and is also an Executive in Residence at Kilmer Capital and Interim COO of Three2N Inc. Formerly, as the company’s founding CEO, Miriam led Infobright, the leading open source analytic database, from inception through to a successful transition to an open source company, developing and growing its customer base and community presence.
Prior to joining Infobright, Miriam spent 11 years with BCE Emergis and its predecessors, Newstar Technologies and Bryker Data Systems. Starting as a sales executive, Miriam finished her tenure at Emergis as President of the eBusiness division. Her distinct expertise in strategy, sales, profitability, team building and large-scale program implementation was material in helping Emergis grow from $7 million to $660 million in revenue over a 9-year period. Miriam's 20 years of experience includes consulting in telecommunications sectors covering Canadian, U.S., European and Asian markets.
Miriam holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Waterloo.
